I chose Skinning because its easy to earn lots of money from early on. Thanks for the guide here- a little basic but helped out!

Thank you very much. I hav ebene lookin gofr this for a while. I know most of the benefits, but its nice to see a detailed list.

I still choose enchanting over alm ost anything as my primary profession for the ability to de everything out tthere, make a ton of money in mats, and easily level the profession.

one thing im running into issues with is the nether essence. im simply NOT getting any from deing ilvl 40-50 items even though wowhead.com lists that i should be >_< where should i look for nether essence?

Hey Spydermt, Thanks for the kind words. My first toon was a pally. I recommend you start with mining and skinning. Those will help you earn money while you level. When you are a bit higher level you can always respec to the professions you plan on keeping.
